She received her doctoral degree in the Science and Technology Studies Program at York University, Canada (2017). She was a research fellow in the Sociology Department at Koç University, Istanbul under the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) Co-Funded Brain Circulation Scheme fellowship programme in 2016-2017, and a visiting researcher in the Anthropology Department at MIT, Cambridge in 2013-2014.
